PATERSON -- A hard, cold rain pelted Kevin Mack's umbrella Sunday night as he
stood outside a funeral home and talked about his friend Roger Eppes of
Englewood. Eppes died last week during an asthma attack in the emergency
room of a Harlem hospital just he was confronted by a New York police
officer.
"It's unbelievable," said Mack, a boyhood friend of Eppes' from
