Another former industrial property in Clifton may become a shopping
center. This time it's at a site where lightweight lawn chairs were once
assembled, and, before that, where immigrant workers manufactured some
of the world's finest wool fabric.

A developer wants to build a shopping center anchored by a Caldor
department store and a Pathmark supermarket, with several smaller
satellite stores at the former Forstmann Woolen Mills site on Ackerman
