Nearly 90 people have complained to state and local officials about
health problems since the deadly explosion at a Lodi chemical plant last
month, and one doctor estimates that a third of them are suffering from
asthma.
Though some of those people have had bouts of asthma in the past,
others are experiencing respiratory problems for the first time, said
Dr. Hormoz Ashtyani, chief of pulmonary medicine at Hackensack Medical
