As the Miss Universe Pageant in Manila comes close to its final stretch, the Philippines is confident that the pageant's live telecast worldwide on May 21 will open new doors for the Filipinos and stir new interest among travelers and investors overseas to take another look at a booming nation once known as the sick man of Asia.
