John Ash addressed the haggis last night.
Two things are known about people who don't know what that means: a)
they are not Scots; b) they don't read much poetry.
People all over New Jersey and the United States are addressing the
haggis at Burns Night dinners -- when Scots remember their greatest poet,
Robert Burns (1759-96), on his birthday. The exact date is Jan. 25, but
parties are usually held on the closest Saturday.
