Small tick bite causes big problems: Lyme disease in area suspected.

WANBLEE -- Two months ago Oglala Lakota College teacher Phyllis Swift Hawk suffered a small insect bite -- no big deal.

Today she's slowly recovering -- still unable to walk -- and it is a big deal.

Although doctors are not 100 percent certain of the diagnosis, Ms. Swift Hawk apparently contracted Lyme disease from a tick bite. And the tick probably came from her dog, she said.
