During the off-season, there are certain skills that every baseball
player works to improve. Hitting and fielding, of course. And, for some,
pitching.

Then there's what may be the most important tool of all:
Fund-raising.

The Paterson Catholic players had to pay $700 apiece for a spring
training trip to Cocoa Expo in Cocoa, Fla. Using all of their
money-making abilities, they collected about $8,000. And now, after a
week of fun, sun, and baseball, they're off to a 2-0 ...
