A runaway tractor-trailer left a trail of destruction Friday and
narrowly avoided causing a bloodbath, as it barreled off Route 17
southbound in Rochelle Park, injuring three people, police and witnesses
said.
"It's a miracle there were no deaths," said Ken Liggett, the owner
of Underwater Sports of New Jersey, who witnessed part of the accident.
"If it wasn't for the skill of the driver, there could have been a hell
of a lot more damage."
