contained poorly researched statistics which may have led to the
inaccurate assumptions reflected in the article, "Poorer towns face
bigger tax burdens." In an effort to set The Record straight, please
consider the following:
The voters approved a $5,767,727 tax levy; not $7,948,500,
as published April 17.
The budget was approved by a vote of 528-340; not
1,485-1,042 as published April 17.
