People's Network of the Community is presenting a tribute worthy of a musical giant, sparked by the tragic circumstances that brought Curtis Mayfield's career to a halt in 1990. A sudden gust of wind at a free concert in Brooklyn toppled a lighting rig and hit the veteran performer in the back, leaving him totally paralyzed.
