Advocates for the homeless on Thursday challenged Hackensack Mayor
John "Jack" Zisa's assessment that shelters and feeding kitchens are
bringing the city to its knees.
The mayor, who aired his views in a guest column in Wednesday's
editions of The Record, argued that people from other Bergen County
towns have targeted Hackensack as "the repository of their collective
