It was some 60 years ago when Judy Kohl crouched behind the heavy
furniture in her Brooklyn home, hiding from the houseful of people who
had come to celebrate her brother's bar mitzvah.
Not even the prodding of her two sisters could make her come out.
She peeked out of her hiding place to watch her brother accept
