Watching the snow swirling outside my window the other day, visions
of big bonefish cruising the Bahamian flats near Walkers Cay began to
intrude into my thoughts. Singles, twos, and threes ghosting through the
skinny water; inhaling my tan No. 4 Crazy Charlie and rocketing as far
as 100 yards or more on that first, incredible smoking run.
It's less than a year since that fabulous February trip when the
wind stopped blowing for three days, the sun drenched flats heated up,
and the bonefish ate our flies ...
