TEANECK -- A citizens group has accused the Township Council of moving too
slowly to resolve the controversial issue of whether to take over the
Teaneck Swim Club, a private facility built on public land.
"By failing to act on this, you are, in fact, acting," said Ellen
Crain, a member of Let All People Swim, an organization seeking to
broaden the swim club's membership. "The time has come, and by not
discussing it, you have made a statement."
