In what many believe is a first step toward removing Bergen Pines
County Hospital from the control of the county, a virtually all-new
board of directors was nominated Thursday to replace the current panel.
If the nominees to the 19-member board are approved by freeholders,
it will be the first change in Bergen Pines' governing body since 1987,
