Leading Black-Owned Company Rejects Claims Of Milken-Group Suit.

A lawsuit against the nation's largest blackowned firm is an attempt by an investor group founded by convicted financier Milken to intimidate its management, the company claims.

Since last fall, the Carlton Investments partnership has tried to change the direction of TLC Beatrice International Holdings Inc., its in-house counsel, Kevin Wright, said Thursday. In December, he said, Carlton sought to have the company go public.
