Editor's note: Eighth-graders in Arline Broida's writing and word
processing class at the Upper School in Englewood Cliffs recently wrote
to The Record on the subject of whether the school year should be
extended:
Editor, The Record:
I am an eighth-grade student and would really be disappointed,
distracted, and upset if the school year were lengthened. An extended
school year would not, in my opinion, benefit students in any way
whatsoever.
