American Heritage Magazine Adds Black History Supplement.
American Heritage magazine will publish Legacy: A Celebration of African-American History and Culture in February 1995.
A joint venture between American Heritage and RJR Communications Inc., Legacy will be a free-standing supplement reaching a total of 500,000 readers.
The pilot issue will be distributed through select churches to 250,000 affluent African Americans. It will also be sent to 250,000 subscribers of American Heritage, polybagged with the magazine's February/March 1995 edition. February is Black History Month.
