EAST RUTHERFORD -- All week long, the Philadelphia Eagles' locker room seemed like the
stock market back in October of '29, grown men crying over fortunes
lost. It seems that in an effort to stay within the salary cap
guidelines of the National Football League, team owner Jeffrey Lurie
decided that half a dozen or so of his players would have to accept
rather sizable salary cuts.
