While it would be easy to dismiss the letter from Grover Reynolds,
which Your Town Record published on Dec. 23, as a politically motivated
attack, it contains a dangerous undercurrent that ought to be confronted
head-on by all the candidates for the Board of Education.
It is apparently becoming more and more fashionable to engage in
school system bashing these days. More and more voices are muttering
that we should gut the Hackensack public school system to provide a
local cure for the pressures ...
