A standing-room-only crowd of residents on Monday night told
Ringwood borough zoning officials they didn't want to look out their
windows and see two meteorological towers, one 160 feet high and the
other 32 feet.

The temporary towers, planned for an industrial section off Daret
Drive, not far from Margaret King Avenue, are needed to collect weather
information for a state air-quality permit before a proposed
100-megawatt electric generating plant is built.
