The topic was weather towers, but the focus of residents was the
power plant that might be built later and what effect it might have on
rural Ringwood.

About 150 people attended a Board of Adjustment meeting Wednesday
to question an application for a variance to build two meteorological
towers, one 160 feet high and the other 32 feet, in an industrial
section off Daret Drive.

The towers would be temporary and are necessary to collect weather
information for a state air-quality permit before a ...
