OLD TAPPAN -- About 35 residents turned out Wednesday night to protest plans for
a second shopping center in the borough.
Several residents complained to the Planning Board that the proposed
one-story, Colonial-style shopping center would increase traffic on Old
Tappan Road, generate delivery-truck traffic and garbage, and reduce
residential property values.
The shopping center, whose site plan was unveiled last month, is
proposed by developers Robert and Joyce Ghia. ...
