As Englewood Mayor Donald Aronson mulls his choices for the city's
Board of Education, Hispanics -- a growing presence in the city -- are
testing their influence.
Pressure is building on Aronson to appoint a Hispanic to the school
board. Aronson said he welcomes applications from Hispanics, but that he
resists the idea of appointing a trustee based on race or ethnicity. The
appointments are to be made on May 1.
