As Congress heads toward its summer vacation many pieces of important legislation are thrust before lawmakers for their approval or rejection. The "Item Du Jour" is health care reform with a particular slant to giving all citizens access to adequate medical treatment. For African Americans the results of the debate could literally mean life or death.
