As Congress heads toward its summer vacation many pieces of important legislation are thrust before lawmakers for their approval or rejection. The "Item Du Jour" is health care reform with a particular slant to giving all citizens access to adequate medical treatment. For African Americans the results of the debate could literally mean life or death.
It has been widely chronicled that as a population we tend to die early, have fewer contacts with health care providers and engage into this maelstrom of negative indicators. Now enters a coalition of African American ...
