Not long ago, the Big East was the Big Envy of college basketball,
the standard by which other conferences gauged their progress.

That was 1985, when the Big East had three Final Four teams.

Now, fast-forward to the beastly present, when the conference
doesn't boast a Top 10 team.

Times sure have changed. Others have noticed. The Big Least, Big
Bore, Big Bust. The cynics are having a field day.
