David Letterman probably would appreciate what Jack Kuepfer was
thinking when Letterman showed up at his door in Little Falls.

"Hi, I'm David Letterman. Can I ask you some questions?" Kuepfer
heard from the man at the door, who looked vaguely familiar. But
Kuepfer, who goes to bed early, had never seen "Late Night with David
Letterman."

"Actually, I was hoping it was Publishers Clearinghouse, giving me
$10 million," Kuepfer said Thursday.
