A colleague of mine brought a copy of your newspaper to the office
to show me a rather disparaging column about Long Island by Kathleen
O'Brien ("Tackiness redefined," Jan. 28). I thought you might want to
share with your readers a Long Island perspective of some of the points
that O'Brien made about lurid Long Island crimes, such as the Amy Fisher
and Katie Beers cases.
