SF School Board Plans Remedies For Bilingual Education Violation.
In danger of losing badly-needed funding from the state, the San Francisco School District has put together a plan that seeks to remedy an April 1994 state Department of Education finding that the district was in violation of federal bilingual education requirements.
Under federal law, school districts nation wide are required to provide bilingual students with full access to education.
