Supreme Court refuses appeal on pull-tab machines.

The U.S. Supreme Court on June 20th refused to consider an appeal filed by several Indian nations that would have allowed tribes to operate video pull-tab games without permission from states.

The justices, without comment, turned away legal arguments by eight tribes that federal law allows them to operate computerized versions of pull-tabs despite state objections. By declining to hear the case, the high court left intact two lower court decisions that held that tribes must have gaming compacts with states to legally operate computerized versions of pull-tabs.
