The Indianapolis Recorder scores big at NNPA conference.

The National Newspaper Publishers Association recently honored The Indianapolis Recorder with Merit Awards in eight of its 21 categories during its 54th annual convention in Minneapolis.

The awards, which are judged by a panel comprised of African-American journalists, journalism professors and communications professionals, are presented each year at the NNPA convention. The Publisher of the Year Award is selected by a vote of the NNPA's member publishers.
