MOONACHIE -- The Merchants did enough Monday to keep their 19-game winning
streak in the Metropolitan Baseball League alive but not enough to
extend it.
The Merchants came to Moonachie needing one victory to become the
first franchise in the Met League's 27 seasons to win 20 consecutive
games. They left Tucci Field still needing one victory for the all-time
record.
