When Gerry Yonchiuk took over the Northern Valley at Old Tappan
football program last year he decided to go with youth. After all, the
team had gone 2-15-1 the previous two seasons.
But little appeared to change as the Golden Knights wound up 1-8.
"What the record doesn't show," says Yonchiuk, "is the progress we made
as the season went on. Although we didn't win any of them we had an
opportunity to win our last four games."
