`Where Teitelbaum Lived': A Walk Through Vienna's Jewish Museum.

VIENNA -- The 1938 telephone directory here listed 16 names under Teitelbaum. Wilhelm Teitelbaum offered gymnastics classes in the seventh district, while his wife, Josefine, was a tailor at their apartment in the Gumpendorfer Strasse in the sixth. Otto was a licensed dentist in the more suburban 12th district, the Meidling. Hersch sold dairy products in the second district, the Leopoldstadt, which had been the 17th-century Jewish ghetto and then the unofficial Jewish quarter beginning in the 1850s.
