Ruby Dee and Trazana Beverly in `Flyin' West' opens Kennedy Center. 1994-95 season
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and The Crossroads Theatre Company present Pearl Cleage's "Flyin' West" in the Eisenhower Theater from Sept. 10-Oct. 9, 1994. Opening night is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m.
A fact-inspired drama celebrating the determination and fortitude of 19th-century African-American women, "Flyin' West" was written by Atlanta playwright Pearl Cleage, directed by Trazana Beverley.
