As Rosh Hashanah Nears, it is time for reflection.
During the frenetic 1980s - which some people dubbed as the "Me Decade" - it became fashionable to talk about "quality time" with one's spouse, one's children, one's colleagues, even with oneself.
The idea, of course, was to take time out to focus on the relationships that ultimately matter, on the "significant others" in our lives who too often are given back seats to our more trivial pursuits.
