Gospel Music Workshop.

The Gospel Music Workshop of America is the world's largest music association with some 20,000 members in nearly 200 chapters in North America, Europe and the Caribbean Islands. The non-profit organization is interdenominational and interracial.

GMWA was founded in Detroit in 1968 by the late Rev. James Cleveland to bring together amateur and professional gospel artists, provide a clearinghouse for new material, encourage publication of gospel music and generally promote and improve gospel music as an art form recognized and appreciated across ethnic, religious and community lines.
