Life/Style; Survey: Filipino food going nowhere.

Fist the good news. Asian cuisines and restaurants - particularly those of Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, and now Malaysian - are basking in the limelight and are competing with those of Italian, Mexican, French, Spanish, German, Latin American and Caribbean dishes, according to National Restaurant Association of America's The Market For Ethnic Foods study and survey.

Now the bad news. The Philippine cuisine is still very much out of the ethnic food race and will probably remain so beyond the turn of the century.
