Black Women Need Earlier Detection of Breast Cancer.

Black women are more than twice as likely as whites to die of breast cancer, in part because their disease more often reaches an advanced stage before it is diagnosed, according to a new study.

The research backs up previous studies while offering fresh clues and reinforcing one undisputed way to lower the death rate: more screening and education about the disease.
