Marketers Show Growing Interest In Filipino American Segments.

SAN FRANCISCO -- If it is generally true that Filipino Americans are Asian Pacific America's forgotten ethnicity, they fare even worse in the eyes of advertisers and others who often lump them with other Asian Pacific American groups, if they consider them at all for advertising campaigns.

"Either they [marketers and advertisers] don't have any budget for ethnic advertising, or if they did, they are interested only in Chinese, Japanese and Koreans, perhaps because they appear to have more money than Filipinos.
