Our Fatal Mistake: Underestimating the Turks Due to Ignorance.

A wise old Armenian man once said to his child, "As you start out in life, you must first get to know your neighbors."

Nations have no control as to who their neighbors will be. Armenia always has been destined to live in a hostile environment, surrounded by aggressive imperial powers. She has always been a bone of contention, because of her geopolitical locations. Our forefathers lived in the high mountains of the Armenian Highland with a false sense of security but, in reality, they failed to develop a strong central government to unify the different vast regions of the country.
