Morocco, America's Friend and Trading Partner.
For most Americans Morocco is defined by the classic wartime film, Casablanca. Romantic as they seem, with gamblers and gunrunners and Nazi colonels and heroic resistance fighters. Casablanc's images simply do not do Morocco justice. Yet they underscore a basic truth about the country: As a crossroads between Europe and Africa, it can serve as a major economic and political ally of the United States.
