Tropical storm heads toward Bahamas
MIAMI, Aug. 26 (UPI) _ Tropical storm Dennis is predicted to strengthen
into a hurricane as it heads toward the Bahamas and, possibly, the
eastern coast of the United States.
Early today, tropical storm Dennis was headed toward the Bahamas with
65 mph winds. Two other storms could also create problems. Hurricane
Cindy is still 1,200 miles southeast of the Bahamas but is speeding in
that direction while tropical storm Emily could skirt the Leeward
Islands on its current northwestern track.
The National Hurricane Center says tropical storm Dennis will become a
