Politics in Inglewood and Casino Clout.
The late President Harry Truman adage: "The buck stops here," may have a more sinister meaning amongst the politicians in the City of Inglewood, many of whom have running gambling tabs at the Hollywood Park Casino.
In incumbent Mayor Edward Vincent's words, the Hollywood Park Race Track and Casino is one of the "major players" that figure in the development and vitality of the county's fourth largest city. However, he says he is unaware of the reported discrepancy in pay and job assignments that many black workers are getting in the gambling edifice.
