Article: Turkey charities switch focus to monetary donations

After collecting nearly 800 tons of blankets, food, water, and medicine for Turkey since the earthquake, some Israeli charity organizations have started asking only for monetary donations.

"The food and clothes are useless [now], because we have no way to get them there," said Yael Avran of Latet, a local humanitarian aid group. "We have already delivered [most of] the material by ship. Now, what we want is to get people out of tents and to start building houses."
