(Badger Herald) (U-WIRE) MADISON, Wis. -- Clad in a comfortable red polo and tan khakis, Ron Dayne strode across the conference room at the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon. Sitting down at a round banquet table, Dayne rubbed the sleep from his eyes and faced the media that had already, at 8:30 in the morning, begun to swarm around him. It was a little early to start dealing with questions, especially stupid ones.
"Hey Ron, how's your son doing?" one of the reporters eagerly asked.
"I don't have a son," Dayne said.
"Then you have a daughter?" the embarrassed reporter asked.
"Yes, her name is Jada."
