We saw the much-talked about movie "Pret-a-Porter" before its Dec. 12 debut at a gala event in New York underwritten by "Elle" magazine to benefit Rivington House, the Village Center for Care's new AIDS facility, Renamed "Ready-to-Wear" for its American debut, because producers started to fret that audiences wouldn't understand the French translation pret-a-porter.
