Mayor sues city council, again.

Linsey Porter, the Mayor of Highland Park, is suing City Clerk Mattie Carter and three city council members - Council President Pro Tem Christine Franklin, Councilmember Titus McClary and Councilmember Greta Johnson - to block their decision to hold an election for the Charter Commission Tuesday, November 8.

Both Porter, the Clerk and Council members are being represented by attorneys outside the city's law department.

City attorney Yolanda Johnson said that she is the attorney for all city officials and it would be a conflict of interest to represent one of them in a court fight against any other.
