A New Year's Prayer from The Indianapolis Recorder family.
In 1995, the Recorder will mark 100 years of service to the Indianapolis Community.
From founding Publisher George P. Stewart in 1895 to Publisher William G. Mays in 1995, we will mark a century of providing news, opinions and editorials dedicated to the search for brotherhood, justice, peace and knowledge.
Early in this century, a group of African American-owned newspapers adopted the following statement:
"The African-American press believes America can best lead the world away from racial and national antagonisms when the nation accords to every person, regardless of race, color or ...
