Northeastern University's Blackman Auditorium was filled to near capacity last Thursday for a two-and-a-half hour lecture by Dr. Leonard Jeffries, chairman of the African American Studies Department at City College of New York.

The outspoken professor both criticized his opponents and defended people of African descent against attacks, saying to the largely-black crowd, "We will attempt to reverse all that negativity you have been subjected to."
